LaSalle Network is in search of an Ocean Export Coordinator for one of our established, industry-leading clients within freight forwarding. This role requires prior logistics experience and involves managing end-to-end ocean export operations, ensuring seamless coordination with clients, carriers, and internal teams. This position is fully on-site in Wood Dale, IL.
Ocean Export Coordinator Responsibilities:Coordinate and manage all aspects of ocean export shipments from origin to destination, including booking cargo, preparing documentation, and arranging transportation
Ensure accuracy and compliance with international shipping regulations, customs requirements, and company policies
Prepare and review export documentation such as bills of lading, certificates of origin, invoices, and packing lists
Communicate with carriers, freight forwarders, and other stakeholders to ensure timely shipment delivery and resolve transit issues
Monitor shipment status and provide proactive updates to clients and internal teams while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction
Ocean Export Coordinator Requirements:
3+ years of logistics or freight forwarding/logistics experience required
Strong understanding of ocean export processes, documentation, and compliance
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively liaise with clients, carriers, and internal teams
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Outlook
Pay and Benefits:
Pay: $22-24 per hour, depending on experience
