Mail Clerk

Atlanta, GA (onsite)

3+ Months (Temp to Perm)

Mon- Fri, 9:00am or 6:00pm

Overview:

This role is involves handling high-volume mailroom operations in a fast-paced environment. The position requires strong multitasking abilities, basic computer skills, and physical stamina. The ideal candidate will have prior mailroom, warehouse, or retail experience and a customer-focused approach.

Responsibilities:

• Process incoming and outgoing mail and packages efficiently
• Sort, distribute, and track deliveries across departments
• Operate mailroom equipment, including postage machines and handheld devices
• Use computers and POS systems for tracking and processing shipments
• Maintain accurate records of mail and package transactions
• Provide customer service support to staff and visitors
• Assist with inventory control and mailroom supplies
• Coordinate with internal teams for timely delivery and pickup
• Follow all mail handling procedures and security protocols
• Maintain organization and cleanliness of the mailroom

Qualifications:

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience
• Experience in high-volume mailroom operations required
• Basic computer skills, including MS Office Suite
• Experience with handheld devices and POS systems preferred

Skills & Abilities:

• Strong organizational and multitasking skills
• Good customer service and communication skills
• Technical aptitude for operating office and mailroom equipment
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to lift up to 50 55 lbs regularly
• Ability to push carts or equipment up to 400 lbs on wheels
• Requires prolonged standing, walking, bending, and reaching
• May involve moving between buildings
• Office/mailroom environment with standard working conditions

Additional Information:

• Parking is the responsibility of the candidate (~$67.50/month)
• Public transportation is highly encouraged
