Overview Food Safety Specialist is responsible for assisting in developing, creating, and implementing a quality management strategy that ensures facility documents meet and exceed regulatory, GFSI, internal, and customer specification compliance, while supporting the growth of the business. Responsibilities Specific responsibilities include: Implements training and drives engagement of food safety and quality programs to production facilities via CBT and/or in-person. Assists in the creation and maintenance of controlled documents, such as policies, programs, and procedures that ensure company-wide compliance with regulatory, GFSI, and customer standards. Data entry to develop, implement, and drive data management systems, such as environmental monitoring data systems. Assist sites as needed with internal and external audit preparation. Drive completion of program validations. Complete all other tasks and projects assigned within the allocated timeframe. Communicate effectively with the site FSQA and sanitation teams when applicable Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Science and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. HACCP/PCQI certification and GFSI training required.
