Affirmative Civil Enforcement (ACE) Investigator Employment Type: Full Time, Mid-Level Department: Legal CGS is seeking an ACE Investigator to join our team supporting the legal mission of a large federal agency in Hammond, IN. This position will allow candidates to demonstrate expertise in providing litigation support tasks such as legal research, legal drafting, and administrative support to multiple attorneys. Job Duties Independently or with the ACE Coordinator, meet semi-annually with designated agency personnel for the purpose of generating fraud investigations. Conduct investigations to determine the merits and collection likelihood with respect to any matter or case assigned by the ACE Coordinator. Perform a variety of ancillary investigations‑related services in direct support of any assigned fraud investigation. Utilize electronic databases (e.g., CLEAR/Accurint, LexisNexis, PACER, SAM.gov, USASpending.gov) to identify and locate witnesses and subjects, verify corporate structure and ownership, and develop documentary evidence to support investigations. Prepare interim and final reports on progress of investigations suitable for use by AUSAs in intervention, declination, settlement, and litigation decisions. Participate in witness interviews jointly with AUSAs or federal agents/investigators and prepare memoranda of interview. Review and analyze voluminous documentary and electronic records, including claims data, financial records, medical records, and email productions. Perform damages, loss, and overpayment calculations with factual support. Coordinate with federal investigative agencies (e.g., HHS‑OIG, FBI, DCIS, DEA) and agency program personnel. Job Requirements 5+ years of experience working on fraud investigations or similar experience. Ability to pass a background check in order to obtain a security clearance. Ability to work onsite full time. Must be a United States Citizen.
